Make sure you have a clear idea that your product or service really meets a market need.
How?
Start by listening to the people you think will buy your product. Ask what they want from it. Remember people buy benefits not features - so don't say "available in two sizes" but do say "with a choice of two sizes we have the right one for your application".
And check those great features - often expensive - ask yourself if it would sell without them? If it will, then don't include them NOW, plan to introduce them later when there is a demand for them.
