Identify the gaps between the skills and expertise you (and your team) currently have and what you need for a successful business.
How?
Ask someone independent to analyse the skills and roles / jobs you need to achieve your business vision, and then do the same for your proposed key players. It's much easier for a third party to be objective if he or she is independent of loyalties, friendships and financial stakes.
Look at the gaps and work out how to close them, even if it means asking someone else to join your team, or giving up complete control.
